FIND THE DATE N DAYS AGO
While creating any report , we might come across a situation where we need to find a date fixed number of days ago from a given date.
The concept is quite simple.
As we know that
DATE IS JUST A NUMBER. IF WE SUBTRACT THE NUMBER OF DAYS SIMPLY FROM THE DATE, IT’LL RETURN THE DATE N DAYS AGO.
We’ll use the same concept to find out the date n days ago. [ n is the number of days]
STEPS TO FIND THE DATE N DAYS AGO
- Choose the cell where the date after a particular number of days is need to be found.
- Enter the following formula “=cell address of date – number of days after which date is needed”
- As we know date is just a number, we just need to subtract the number of days and the result will be the date after that many days.
We have the date given in the CELL H25. The given date is 29-06-2020.We need to find the date 3 days ago, which is given by the formula in which we subtract 3 from the date in the H25.The result is 26-062020 which is correct.
