HOW TO PRINT TOP ROW ON TOP OF EVERY PAGE IN EXCEL ?

INTRODUCTION

When we are dealing with very lengthy reports, the final resort of any report is to get finalized and get printed on paper for the final show.

But EXCEL SHEETS sometimes pose problems while printing them as per our choice. We need to do a lot of settings before we can print the sheet as per our requirement.

The requirements can be , to print the sheet on one page, to print horizontally, to print vertically, to print both sides of paper, to print a portion, to print the header and footer , to print headings on every page and so on. The list is endless.In this article, we are going to discuss one of the very required solution to print the top row of any sheet on every page of the print.

This solution is very important as when the reports go long, they need an identification.So let us see how we can print the top row of a sheet on every page of the print.

STEPS TO PRINT TOP ROW ON EVERY PAGE OF THE PRINT IN EXCEL

STEP 1: GO TO PRINT TITLES BUTTON

The button for printing titles is located under the

PAGE LAYOUT TAB> PAGE SETUP SECTION

The location is shown below.

STEP 2: CLICK PRINT TITLES BUTTON

THE FOLLOWING DIALOG BOX WILL OPEN.

STEPS:

  • Select the row to be repeated in the mentioned field. If we want to select the top row, select it or enter the address of the top row. The row can be selected using the mouse by clicking the symbol on the extreme right edge of the field which is shown in the picture below. In our case, the top row is $1:$1.
  • There are many other useful options but they are not needed in our case this time.
  • Click PRINT PREVIEW
  • It’ll take us directly to the PRINT OPTIONS page.

STEP 3: PRINT PREVIEW

  • Click PRINT PREVIEW.
  • It’ll take us directly to the PRINT OPTIONS page.

STEP 4: OTHER SETTINGS AND PRINT

  • If the preview is ok, Set the printer.
  • Set the number of copies needed.
  • Set other settings.
  • Click PRINT.

The output print will contain all the pages with top row.
